After inserting the batteries (AAA) the only thing you really have to set up is the year time date, the setting up is real easy and instruction are easy to follow.
What is handy is you can have 2 users so for example I could be user 1 so every time i do a reading for blood pressure I will select user 1. my partner could be user 2.
In the instruction it shows you a table chart of what a normal or what not normal reading. When you do a reading it also on the display show you a colour bar which when given a reading will show you a LCD bar against the colour bar on the left hand side.

The unit remembers 99 readings which is good.
Anyways great product especially with the voice announcements at a great price well worth the buy and does what it says on the tin.
